A blog is a website that is updated periodically and that offers the reading of information of one or several authors on topics of interest. The fundamental unit of information of a blog is the article, also called "post" or "entry". These articles are shown following an inverse chronological order, that is, the most recent article will be shown first. Consequently, we can define a blog as a collection of chronologically ordered articles.

For the author/authors of a blog, it is a system that facilitates the publication of multimedia content on the Internet, offering at all times the control and freedom to edit and modify the published information.
In each article, readers can write their comments and the author can answer them. In this way, a dialogue is encouraged that authors and readers can share. However, this option depends on the moderation of the author or authors of the blog and of course that the readers decide to intervene freely with their contributions.
The theme of a blog is very varied. In the blogosphere, there are personal blogs, journalistic, business, technological, educational (edublogs), political, etc.
